I'm a Fashion blogger from California. I grew up in Mexico until I was 20. I'm currently studying Business Administration in CSUF. I've always loved fashion and dressing up, so I've decided to start my blog just for fun and to help other people with my ideas. I would define my fashion sense as a little of everything. I love to try new things and wear different styles all the time.

Fig & Olive: The Cuisine of the French Rivera

Happy Wednesday my loves!

A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to go to the Restaurant Fig & Olive in Newport Beach to the launch of the book "The Cuisine of the French Rivera" We were greeted by Laurent Halasz (Fig & Olive founder and owner) with appetizers and cocktails and we ended up having dinner. We enjoyed delicious dishes that were part of the recipes in the book.More than a cookbook, FIG & OLIVE is an exploration of the Mediterranean table. Halasz shares his passion for olive oil and the cuisine of the South of France with insider’s tips, from simple techniques and seasonal ingredients to pairing the right olive oils with each dish. Recommendations range from a fruity and delicate varietal from Château Léoube in Provence; a green fruit and herbal olive oil from Marqués de Griñon, Spain; or a peppery Tuscan olive oil from the Mugelli family. FIG & OLIVE: The Cuisine of the French Riviera includes more than sixty simple recipes, including the restaurant’s signature Zucchini Carpaccio, Fig & Gorgonzola Tart, Whole Branzino with Rosemary, and Green Apple and Olive Oil Sorbet, accompanied by inspiring photographs set against the provençal landscape of Mougins.

Here are some picture of the event plus pictures of the delicious food.

Enjoy...
